Testimonials

"As a new mom, the Paradise House has been a wonderful resource! I began by using the Paradise House for breastfeeding advice and to meet with the lactation consultants. Club Mom has been one of the best things I have discovered. It is a great way to connect with other new moms. We have a new child rearing topic that we discuss each week. Also, all of the staff members that work at the Paradise House are helpful and welcoming. I recommend that all new moms check out what the Paradise House has to offer!"

Welcome to The Paradise House

Named for the street it is located on, The Paradise House is a new mother's resource for assistance in caring for her new baby. The staff at the Paradise House are trained lactation consultants and lactation counselors with years of experience helping women and babies work through issues that can accompany breastfeeding. Paradise House also hosts support groups for new mothers.

Kaweah Delta's Paradise House is a little yellow house on a quiet street, and should be on every new mothers radar; this little house packs a big punch. The department takes full advantage of every inch of the 1,280 square foot home, tucked behind Urgent Care on Court Street. Before and after the baby, it's a resource center for new moms and dads. The warm atmosphere has a soothing effect on expectant parents as well as families adjusting to life with their newborn.

The Paradise House Nursery Nook, a store as well as a pump rental station, featuring Medela's Lactina and Symphony pumps and we recently added the availability of a electronic baby scale for rent. This store is the only source in the county for many hard-to-find products for both mother and baby.

The staff is available to help you select the best breastpumps and products for you and your baby's particular need.

Nursery Nook Hours of operation: Monday-Friday 9:00am - 4:30pm

Infant Massage

Infant massage is the ancient art that connects you deeply with your baby and enhances the bonding process. It helps you to understand your baby's nonverbal language. Infant massage can also be helpful in easing chest and nasal congestion, gas, colic, and GERD syndrome.

Each class is taught by an RN who is certified by the International Association of Infant Massage founded by Vimala McClure.

Club Mom - No Charge!

Paradise House is where Club Mom meets regularly every week in the living room to discuss the victories and challenges of parenting while their little ones play or sleep.

Discussion on topics such as:
  • Emotional ups and downs
  • Changes in your relationship with your husband
  • Sleep habits of your baby
  • Your baby's development
  • Knowing what your baby needs
  • Infant CPR

Weigh Your Baby

We offer the use of the Medela BabyChecker Scale free-of-charge. This scale is available for moms to use to determine if baby is on the right track with their weight gain. The number one reason moms quit breastfeeding is "I do not have enough milk". Seeing the results may give the parents the reassurance that baby is getting enough milk at the breast and will be more likely not to give unnecessary bottles. Moms who weigh their babies have less anxiety. If needing one-on-one an appointment can be made with our Lactation Consultant for more encouragement to keep breastfeeding.
